Caracterización espectroacústica de tiempos deglutorios faríngeos en adultos sanos: análisis percentilar descriptivo
Spectroacoustic characterization of pharyngeal swallowing times in healthy adults: descriptive percentile analysis

La auscultación cervical constituye una alternativa clínica complementaria para el análisis funcional en contextos de difícil acceso a métodos instrumentales; su interpretación requiere descripciones estructuradas de la variabilidad temporal en población sana. El objetivo de este estudio fue caracterizar espectroacústicamente los tiempos de la deglución faríngea en adultos sanos y organizar sus valores mediante una estructura percentilar descriptiva. Se realizó un estudio observacional descriptivo transversal en 51 adultos sanos, en quienes se registraron dos degluciones: una con consistencia nivel 0 y otra con nivel 4 según International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative; ambas fueron auscultadas con fonendoscopio electrónico Littmann® 3200 y software StethAssist®. Se delimitaron manualmente cuatro tiempos: tránsito faríngeo, apnea deglutoria, protección temprana y resolución respiratoria. Se calcularon medidas de tendencia central, dispersión y percentiles (P5, P10, P25, P50, P75, P90 y P95). Los cuatro tiempos fueron identificables de manera consistente. El tiempo de tránsito y la apnea deglutoria mostraron mayor dispersión, mientras que el tiempo de protección temprana presentó la mayor concentración en el intervalo P25–P75 (hasta 74,5% en viscosidad líquida), evidenciando mayor estabilidad. El tiempo final, representante de la resolución respiratoria, mostró variabilidad intermedia. En todas las variables, más del 50% de los datos se ubicó en la franja central percentilar y menos del 12% en valores extremos. La organización percentilar permitió describir la variabilidad funcional sin asumir normalidad estadística, evidenciando estabilidad en los tiempos preventivos y mayor flexibilidad en los tiempos globales, aportando una base descriptiva para la interpretación clínica de la auscultación cervical digital en adultos sanos.
