Scope and Focus

Areté Journal is a scientific publication aimed at disseminating scholarly works that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in disciplines related to human communication and its disorders. The journal promotes the publication of manuscripts characterized by methodological rigor, disciplinary and interdisciplinary relevance, and applicability in clinical, educational, social, community, occupational health and safety contexts.

The journal addresses topics related to language, speech, voice, hearing, orofacial myofunctional disorders, swallowing, and other areas associated with interpersonal human communication from disciplinary and multidisciplinary perspectives.

The journal is intended for researchers, educators, professionals, and undergraduate and graduate students in health sciences, human sciences, education, and other disciplines related to human communication and its disorders.

Areté Journal is classified within the field of Medical and Health Sciences, Speech-Language Pathology discipline, according to the international Classification of Fields of Research and Development established by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
