Open Access Policy
Areté Journal is an open-access and free-of-charge journal aimed at promoting the circulation of scientific knowledge and contributing to the strengthening of research in areas related to human communication and its disorders.
The journal does not charge submission, processing, or publication fees (APC). Likewise, readers may freely access all contents at no cost.
Articles published in Areté Journal are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0), which allows users to share, adapt, and redistribute the material in any medium or format, provided that proper credit is given to the authors and the original publication, the material is not used for commercial purposes, and derivative works are distributed under the same license.
Authors retain copyright of their works and authorize Areté Journal to publish, reproduce, distribute, and publicly communicate accepted articles for academic, scientific, and educational purposes, provided that the original source is properly cited.
In order to guarantee digital preservation and permanent access to its contents, Areté Journal uses digital archiving and preservation systems such as PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), LOCKSS, and CLOCKSS, integrated into the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
The journal authorizes the electronic and printed dissemination of published articles for academic or internal purposes of institutions and researchers, provided that the source is properly cited.
Revista ARETÉ does not charge authors/researchers for the submission and publication of their articles. Its content has been made available to be widely used under a License:
