Retos y oportunidades en la formación del Fonoaudiólogo
Main Article Content
The training of the Speech Pathologist has experienced an upturn around the world in recent decades and has established itself as one of the careers with the highest level of employability in Europe and America. This advance in the social valuation of this profession has been the result of the struggles of a profession that throughout the 20th century and so far in the 21st century has had to face many difficulties to achieve full professional recognition and its consolidation as a health discipline. The fight against intrusiveness, the lack of employment, the distortion in its profile and in the consideration as an independent professional, marked the agenda of academic associations and trade organizations, and unfortunately, even today in many countries this situation shows no signs of improvement.
