Audiological symptoms of passengers in flight

The objective present study was determining the audiological symptoms that present the passengers in national flights of 3 airlines of Colombia: Satena, Avianca and Aerorepública. They were contemplatedotalgy, aural fullness, tinitus, cinetosis, otorrea and otorragy as symptoms. By the method of survey and sampling not probabilistic by convenience, the report of 90 adult passengers was obtained and 23 children on the audiological symptoms and of 50 flight attendants on the symptoms reported by the passengers. The investigation found that the most reported symptom so much in children as inadults (with a 58,33% and 54% respectively) was fullness aural, while the most reported one in flight attendants with a 70% was otalgy, followed by fullness aural with 66%. Age differences by groupwere observed, since the children present with greater frequency those symptoms that respond to specific anatomical conditions.
