Authors should registrer in the journal before sending a text or, if they are already registered, they can simply connect and star the submission process in 5 steps.
Documents must be submitted electronically through the Open Journal System. OJS, in http://arete.ibero.edu.co
Using this option allows you to follow the status of the document in the editorial process. To start the editorial process, they should consider and attach the following files:
- Manuscript with sections according to article type.
- Cover letter and originality statement (see guide letter).
- No conflict of interest form (see guide form).
- Copyright assignment form (see guide form).
- Authors' form (see guide template).

Additional recommendations include the following:
- The proposed sections according to the article type (originals, reviews, reflections, case studies) must be strictly followed.
- Authors will endeavor to ensure that the text does not contain identifying clues or suggestions.
- The Materials and Methods section must explicitly state the informed consent of the patients or their guardians, as well as authorization from the institution where the research is being conducted.
- The manuscript file must be submitted in Word format and must contain only one opening page: the full title of the document, in Spanish and English, the full name of the author(s), the institutional affiliation of the authors, and any institutional endorsements for the research. (Institution, department, and city), name, address, telephone number, and email address of the corresponding author, acknowledgement of any scholarship or financial support, if applicable, where the text of the document will appear, and include: the title of the work, the resumen/abstract and palabras claves/keywords, references, tables, legends, and figure captions.
- Texts should be written in an impersonal language, in the third person or infinitive, avoiding the use of specific adjectives or pronouns that refer to gender. Assumptions derived from gender stereotypes about people, their abilities, attitudes, and relationships should also be avoided. The use of abbreviations in the title and abstract of the work should be avoided. The first time an abbreviation appears in the text, it must be preceded by the full term to which it refers.
- Data figures must be editable; drawings, photographs, and algorithms must be in JPG format; these will be attached as separate files. You must attach an image that represents the essence of your document and the theme it addresses. This image, preferably photographic, must be 1920 x 1080 pixels in size and in JPG format. Areté Journal reserves the right to use or not this image based on compliance with ethical and aesthetic criteria; its modification or change will be decided upon.
